RED BANK, NJ – This is going to be a way cool event that you don’t want to miss.
Two names you know in Jersey – QuickChek and PNC Bank.
These two organizations are bringing a 75-foot-tall hot air balloon to celebrate the 15th year of PNC’s “Grow Up Great” bilingual early education program. The program focuses on helping underserved children explore the world around them as they prepare for success in school and in life.
QuickChek is the major sponsor of the New Jersey Festival of Ballooning, the largest summertime hot air balloon and music festival in North America, to be held July 26th, 27th, and 28th at the Solberg Airport in Readington, NJ.
PNC began a multi-year initiative in 2004 and is increasing its commitment to early education from $350 million to $500 million.
Inflated with cold air, a monster-sized, 75 – foot tall balloon will be laid on its side and securely staked to the ground.
50 children between the ages of 3 and 5 will get to play inside and receive an age-appropriate lesson on the science of hot air ballooning - giving the children a chance to “Grow Up Great!”
When: Wednesday, May 29th at 8:45am (rain date Thursday, May 30)
