RED BANK, NJ: The White Street infrastructure and parking lot upgrades continues to move forward on schedule.
We spoke with a CME Associates Inspector yesterday who wished to be unnamed, who said, “The contractor has removed existing curbs and walkways, and installing new curbs and reinforced aprons to all businesses on the street. They’ll start next week to replace the existing sidewalk with brick pavers.”
Repair of the asphalt will begin after the pavers are installed, and, “The contractor has replaced the old water main and tied into a new. A whole new sanitary system has also been installed connecting everyone’s “laterals” which lead into the businesses.”
A 90-day settlement period for the completed sewer pipe trench will last through July, August and September, and the road’s milling and paving is expected to begin in October.
Please keep in mind – businesses on White Street are open!
Parking is free and there’s plenty of it!
