News & Blogs

  • We have placed an additional WiFi extender near the parking lot. We will be marking the parking spaces with the best reception. There are several WiFi networks you can connect to that are ours. They will all say "RBPL" or "Red Bank Public Library." Some will say "EXT." Just pick the one with the strongest signal.
  • All items checked out have had their due dates extended to July 15th. Our book drops remain open, but no one will be fined during the shutdown.
  • New staff blog posts:
  • We're still getting really great submissions for our "Red Bank: Always Beautiful" photo contest. Submissions are going to be open for a few more weeks. Find submissions guidelines here. Winners can be voted on at our Facebook page (Most Likes = Most Votes) and can be viewed here. A couple entries can be viewed below.

Resources that are still available

  • Online Resources
    • Our 24-hour library is still available. We have ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, streaming music, and streaming video all available for free for our cardholders. We also have free access to Universal Class and Rosetta Stone.
      • If you do not have a library card, we are offering Temporary Cards that can be applied for online and used without coming in. Find the application form here. This is available to people who live, work, go to school in Red Bank, and teach at Red Bank Borough Public Schools.
    • Our Resource pages are also still available.
      • This includes our Research Databases which have sites like Novelist, which can give you a recommendation for your next book!
      • It also includes our Local Resources, which may be worth revisiting in the current crisis.
      • We have created a COVID-19 Resource page that we are updating at least once a week. It has information on current Government Restrictions, on what services are still available, and on types of relief available to Red Bank residents. This page is intended to be hyperlocal information for the Red Bank area, so please tell us if you have something you think we should add! Spanish version here.
      • We've posted an in-Spanish guide to how undocumented residents can go about getting tested for COVID-19. Please share with anyone who may need it.
