RED BANK, NJ: In a statement released earlier this week, Red Bank superintendent Louis Moore announced that the in-person graduation scheduled for Thursday was being canceled after one of its graduating seniors tested positive for COVID-19.

Moore and Principal Julius Clark said that an unidentified student “may have infected a number of classmates.”

321 members of the class of 2020 were scheduled for the commencement and was limited to seniors only.

"Based on consultation with the Monmouth County Regional Health Commission and local authorities, we are canceling the in-person commencement ceremony that was planned for this Thursday, July 16," Moore posted on the school district's website night."  Although disappointing, we must continue to prioritize the health and safety of our students and staff," he said.
