RED BANK, NJ: On Thursday, March 26th, 2020, over 7,000 people came together to spread love, positivity, and inspiration via drawings and messages on their sidewalks, driveways, and even windows.

Other towns in New Jersey were hosting #ChalktheWalk events on various days, but New Jersey residents from all over the state came together, united, and celebrated as one via #chalkthewalkNewJersey.

A Chalk the Walk New Jersey Group Page has also been created for everyone to share their inspiring messages, hashtags, artwork, & quotes for all New Jersey to see.

Towns from every county were represented, and there were even participants from New York and Philadelphia. People chose to thank those on the front line, tagged important movements, wrote loving messages to loved ones, shared inspiring quotes, and shared amazingly talented artwork.

Due to the positivity of the page, another event, Wisdom from your Windows, is created for Thursday, April 2nd, so that people can share inspiration from their windows. Other activities, as well as future Chalk the Walk New Jersey events, will be held to continue bringing people some much-needed positivity & creativity.

“I wanted to create a Chalk the Walk event, but instead of just doing it within my community, I wanted to do it for all of New Jersey as I have family and friends all over the state”, stated organizer Jennifer Murphy-Mantle. “I wished to teach my children that people can make a difference, even during a time such as this, and I wanted to send much love to my godson and my 2-year-old niece in Bergen County who is currently battling ALL leukemia - #MightyMackMurphy. Lastly, I am in awe of all of the fantastic talent of those who participated, and I am thankful to every one of them for making it a success.”
