RED BANK, NJ: ARRRRR Matey! Who doesn’t like pirates?!
From Pirates of the Caribbean to Captain Hook, people have long loved the allure and excitement of pirates.
Red Bank and the Navesink River has a rich history of pirates and bootleggers. You and the kids can bring out your inner pirate at the Pirate Takeover event, presented by A-KATCH Entertainment.
Get dressed in your pirate best, put on an eye patch, varnish the wooden leg and feed the polly on your shoulder.
When: Saturday, September 28th, Rain or Shine!
Where: Marine Park, Red Bank, NJ
What: FREE family event with a costume contest, pirate themed music, live theatrical and historical performances from pirates, a pirate themed obstacle course race, face painting and surprises.
For the adult pirates, there’s an afterparty across the street at Red Rock Tap & Grill (Pirate Takeover Headquarters) starting at 4pm, with live performances from The Wet Bandits and a closing set by DJ Johnny Katch.
“Red Bank Parks and Recreation is happy to have the folks from Walk the Plank for the event on the 28th. They have been working hard to plan it and we expect it to be a great event for the families of Red Bank to enjoy.
