RED BANK, NJ: The Kortney Rose Foundation is having an event to get the word out about the great work they’re doing to fund research to eradicate brain tumors in children, the #1 cause of death by disease.

Last year they collected over $82,000 from generous folks like you.

WHAT: 11th annual fundraiser - “Great Food for a Great Cause” to support pediatric brain tumor research initiatives.

WHEN: Saturday, February 29th and Sunday, March 1st from 7:30am to 3:00pm

WHERE: 12 New Jersey Locations: Brick, Cherry Hill, Hoboken, Holmdel, Little Silver, Long Branch, Manalapan, Marlton, Moorestown, Princeton, Sea Girt, Westfield and 6 Pennsylvania Locations: Blue Bell, Bryn Mawr, Media, Newtown, North Wales and Warrington and 1 Delaware Location: Christiana

WHY: To raise funds needed for research to find better treatments and cures for pediatric brain tumors, the leading cause of death by disease in children.  KRF funding supports collaborative research through the Children’s Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium (CBTTC), where 17 worldwide pediatric research institutions collaborate and share real time data to accelerate discovery.  KRF also supports the Neuro-Oncology Program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and various projects including research on Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), the deadliest form of pediatric brain cancer.
