Mayor Pat Menna brought forth a significant change in protocol based on what he was hearing from the residents and that, "Beginning in January, and at least once a month, an hour prior to the council meeting, I will have an open session where any questions, any issues can be brought up, and we'll pass it on to the appropriate department heads."
The mayor also said that public announcements will go out on Saturday mornings where councilperson will meet with the local folks in their neighborhoods to listen to their specific concerns.
The mayor touted the councils accomplishments which included:
- Implementing the suggestions from the critical Management Enhancement Report

“I firmly believe the poor and the marginalized have the right to live close to and look at the river, just like the millionaires,” said Menna.
