RED BANK, NJ – Red Bank business administrator Ziad “Z” Shehady has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

Shehady made the announcement on his Facebook page on Thursday morning.

According to the Facebook post, Shehady was having severe respiratory symptoms on Friday. Due to being immuno-compromised, Shehady’s doctor sent him to the hospital for testing.  Shehady said all other viral diseases were ruled out, and he self-quarantined at home. He received a positive coronavirus diagnosis Thursday morning.

“The coughing, congestion and sniffles have lasted the longest but the worst and most noticeable is the loss of smell and taste,” Shehady said in his post.

TAPinto Red Bank reached out to Shehady via email but did not receive a response.

Aside from his role as business administrator, Shehady is also the Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for the proper and efficient administration of business affairs of the Borough.
