RED BANK, NJ: The Red Bank Council will remain in Democratic hands with the election of incumbents Kathy Horgan and Erik Yngstrom.

They were challenged by Republicans Allison Gregory and Jonathan Maciel Penney.

The Monmouth County Clerks unofficial tally of the 4,269 votes cast with all nine districts reporting was:

Horgan          1,266 (29.6%)

Yngstrom      1,278 (29.9%)

Gregory         901 (21.1%)

Penney          817 (19.2)

There were seven write-in votes.
