RED BANK, NJ: The Red Bank Zoning Board will review a plan to demolish several structures and build a 59-unit apartment building, plus 2,000 sf of commercial space at 121 and 129 Monmouth Street.  Nine of those units would be designated for affordable housing.

Located in the BR-1 and BR-2 business/residential zones, multifamily housing is permitted. 

The property would “wrap around” the Red Bank Charter School from Monmouth to Oakland and Pearl Streets.

The developers’ parking plan calls for two levels; one underground with eight spaces for commercial use and 97 onsite spaces. 

The westside may be looking at a new restaurant instead of a laundromat at 191 Shrewsbury Avenue.  The developer, KLE Properties, was originally approved for a laundromat and four apartments back in April of 2017.  The developer has begun construction, and is looking to amend a plan.

The meeting will be held tonight, 6:30pm at borough hall.  Prior to the meeting, the Board will hold a public workshop in the conference room off of the first floor Council Chambers beginning at 6:00 p.m.
