RED BANK, NJ:  Families, well-wishers and members the Red Bank Police Department were out in force Thursday evening to support and congratulate the promotion of six officers in front of Borough Hall.

Councilwoman Kate Triggiano, councilman Erik Yngstrom were front and center with Mayor Pat Menna swearing in each officer individually.  “I want to thank all of the promoted officers for your professionalism, your duties to not only to your fellow officers, but to our residents, who believe that you are second to none,” said Menna.

Accepting their oaths of office, and promotions were:

Lieutenant Errico Vescio, promoted to the rank of captain, 

Sgt. Beau Broadley and Sgt. Robert Campanella were both promoted to the rank of lieutenant. 

Detective James DePonte was promoted to the rank of sergeant.

Two patrolman, George Travostino and Garrett Falco were promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

“I want to thank all the promotees for your patience, this has been a difficult year for all of us.  When we look around and see what it could be like and what it is like, we are extremely lucky working here,” said Chief of Police Darren McConnell.
