Contacted by TAPinto Red Bank about the incident, Police Chief Darren McConnell said, “An on-scene investigation determined that a physical altercation culminated in a 45-year-old male, Darnell Isaac, being stabbed in the neck. Isaac was ultimately determined to be the aggressor in the incident and was charged with simple assault and harassment on an eighteen-year-old male victim.”
The second, unidentified male was also involved, but not charged.
Isaac was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center where he was treated and later released.
Less than an hour later, a second stabbing was reported but was determined to be a minor altercation between two acquaintances. No arrests were made in that incident and neither party required medical attention.
