RED BANK, NJ:- The Barnegat Boys Basketball team woke up early Saturday morning to defend their court against the Bucs of Red Bank Regional.
The Bengals were up by five at halftime. All through the third quarter, the Bengals outscored the Bucs 21-6 which resulted in a 20 point lead for Barnegat entering the fourth. As time was running out, the Bucs went on a run to keep the Bengals within 10. Time finally expired, and the Bengals pulled off the victory with a final score of 64-54.
Tyler Quinn topped all scorers for Barnegat with 18 points. Jaxon Baker had 14 points and four assists.
Patrick Murray led Red Bank Regional with 17 points, followed by Bodhi Martin with 13.
The Bengals improve to 6-2, and are back in action on Monday where they will look to split the series with Point Pleasant Boro at home.
