ROSELLE PARK, NJ - Police in Roselle Park are investigating a crash that sent a 16- year-old girl to the hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a motor vehicle on Tuesday evening.
According to authorities, on Jan. 23 at approximately 5:28 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Beechwood Ave. and West Lincoln Ave. on a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that was struck and had injuries.
Police say a 2013 Ford that was operated by a 59-year-old man from Roselle Park was traveling southbound on Beechwood Ave. when it struck a 16-year-old girl from Roselle Park who was crossing the street.
Union County E.M.S. responded to the scene and the juvenile was transported to University Hospital for evaluation where authorities say her injuries are reported to be serious, but she is currently in stable condition.
According to the Roselle Park Police Traffic Unit and Detective Bureau, the accident is still under investigation.
