ELIZABETH, NJ – The 400 ticket holders at the Annual Taste of Elizabeth got their money’s worth and went home with a full stomach on October 19, after sampling the best dishes and beverages from the area’s restaurants and food vendors.

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Elizabeth, the Taste of Elizabeth, which took place at the Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel, in Elizabeth, has become a tradition in the city with a growing following each year.

“I chaired the first event when it was The Taste of the Towns, and it has become a winning formula because every year we see it getting better and better," said Rotary member Doug Harris, vice president of marketing and public relations at Trinitas Regional Medical Center. "Food tasting was a novelty when we started. You just didn’t hear of them, but is a win-win for everybody. It’s a win-win for restaurants because they get to put their best dishes into the mouths of hundreds of people. It’s a win-win for visitors because they get to taste samples from 40 vendors. It’s a win-win for non-profits because they sell tickets.”
