ROSELLE, NJ - Women from all over New Jersey came to Agape House of Worship in Roselle this past Saturday, as the non-profit organization Abounding Women hosted a Women’s Empowerment and Awards event.

Roselle 1st Ward Councilwomen Denise Wilkerson and her organization Abounding Women featured women guest speakers from all over New Jersey and New York that included, Pastor Bimbola Lawore from Agape House of Worship, Roselle Mayor Christine Dansereau, NJ Assemblywoman Linda Carter, Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr, Committee Woman (Unjon) Michele Delisfort, NJ Assemblywoman Angela V. McKnight, Executive Director JCACM Pamela Johnson, and the keynote speaker, author, marketing executive and empowerment speaker, Dorinda Walker.

Local women were given awards for being in the forefront to help empower others by excelling in their strengths as leaders. Recognized were the following:

Wilkerson and her organization also surprised Mayor Dansereau with the Leadership Award for being the first female Mayor for the Borough of Roselle.
