ROSELLE, NJ - It was a busy night for the Roselle Fire Department after being called out to assist at a fire in Linden, Roselle Firemen had to fight a second fire when they came upon a house fire on their way back to the Firehouse.

It all started with a fire that broke out around 9 p.m. in Linden at an appliance store located on St. Georges Ave. The Roselle Fire Dept. and many other departments in the area were called to assist including Union County EMS units. 

According to Roselle Fire Chief Paul Mucha, the fire units were on their way back to the station when a Cranford Fire Unit rolled up on a house on fire in Roselle on 8th Ave. and Walnut Street.

The Roselle fire broke out sometime after 11 p.m. 

Chief Mucha said the house was uninhabited and possibly in the beginning stages of being remodeled. The chief also said that no other injuries were reported.
