ROSELLE PARK,  NJ - At least 12 cars were reported burglarized in Roselle Park Police on the morning of Saturday, Aug. 27, between the hours of 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Pershing Ave. and Sherman Ave.

Police said that in all of the instances the owners all reported that there vehicles had been left unlocked while parked in the street and/or in their driveway’s. 

During that same period Union Township Police reported that they had arrested an individual for two car burglaries in their jurisdiction that same morning.

Following an investigation by Detective Edward Nortrup and Detective Joshua Medrano, it was discovered that the individual arrested by Union Township Police had in his possession several items related to six of the twelve burglaries that occurred in Roselle Park. 

As a result of the investigation with the assistance of Union Township Police, Dylan J. Torres-Dorgans, age 23 from Elizabeth was charged with six counts of motor vehicle burglary, bail was set at $30,000. Torres-Dorgans remains housed in the Union County Jail.
