ROSELLE, NJ - Governor Chris Christie gave his State of the State Address on Monday. Roselle resident and Assemblyman Jamel C. Holley was not impressed with what the Governor had to say and reacted to the Governors speech by releasing the following statement.
"It is insulting for Gov. Chris Christie to use his "State of the State" as a tool to score votes with ultra conservative voters in New Hampshire, as opposed to the people of New Jersey who he took an oath to serve. His speech was just a blatant effort to show he is anti-tax, blindly rehashing the tired national Republican script without taking into consideration the needs and struggles in New Jersey. We have suffered long enough with an absentee governor who is selfishly serving his own purposes, rather than working with the state Legislature to tackle critical issues that New Jersey faces. His speech was both shameful and shameless.”
