CRANFORD – On September 25, Assemblyman Jon Bramnick visited Union County College’s Cranford campus to give a lecture entitled “Keys to Success for Future Business and Community Leaders” to students, employees, and members of the public. He also participated in a “big check” presentation of $5,000 to renew his Bramnick Law Firm Scholarship with the Union County College Foundation.

Assemblyman Bramnick was welcomed by Union County College Board of Trustees Chairman Victor M. Richel. Attendees at the event heard the Assemblyman’s engaging presentation about the importance of interpersonal skills and how the ability to communicate effectively is critical to achieving success. He shared entertaining stories and jokes to emphasize the importance of fostering good communication habits and people skills.

“We were happy to have Assemblyman Bramnick on campus and appreciate him taking the time to speak to our students and share his keys to success. As a trial attorney, elected official, and comedian, he is an expert in connecting to and engaging with people,” stated Chairman Richel. “We are also grateful that his law firm has chosen to continue supporting our students with a generous scholarship.”

To qualify for the Bramnick Law Firm Scholarship, a student must be attending school full-time, be the first person in their family to attend college, a resident of Union County, and have financial need. The Union County College Foundation has more than 200 scholarships available for Union students. This year, the Foundation distributed more than $1 million in financial support to qualifying students, helping them remain on track towards the completion of their associate degree or certificate. Many will transfer to a four-year college or university with junior level status.
