Residents, earlier today there was a bear sighting in the area of Grandview and Floyd. The bear fled into the woods and evaded capture. All of the appropriate authorities were notified, including our local schools. As we enter the summer months please remember to keep all garbage cans covered, not just to keep away bears- but other wild animals as well. UNION, NJ - A bear was sighted and is on the loose in the area of Grandview Avenue and Floyd Terrace, south of Morris Avenue. Game and Wildlife experts advise not to pursue the bear if seen, but monitor its location. A public alert has been sent to residents.
