ROSELLE, NJ - BOLD Community Care Services will be hosting Cooking and Connecting, an opportunity for teens and young adults with special needs to connect with their peers in the community and to make new friends.

Led by Master Chef Nadia, participants will be able to create a complete meal, from start to finish, including dessert, then enjoy the delicious meal they created together with their new friends.

“Our challenged children have a hard time finding situations to socialize in a safe environment,” said Courtney Washington, the organizations' founder and executive director. “This event will provide an opportunity for participants with special needs to develop peer relationships and have fun. Youth and young adults with special needs are entitled to benefit from the same recreational opportunities as their peers without disabilities and this event is a great start in what our organization aims to do by bridging the gap"
