ELIZABETH, NJ – While many of us are planning our annual vacations, Assemblywomen Annette Quijano reminds us that Hunger Doesn’t Take A Vacation, for low-income and homeless individuals.
For the fourth year, the assemblywoman, in partnership with the Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless and St. Joseph Social Service Center,is hosting a food drive, Annual Hunger Doesn’t Take A Vacation. She is seeking volunteers to make sandwiches every Wednesday and Thursday in August and on September 1. The goal is 1,000 peanut butter and jelly and turkey and cheese sandwiches each week.
Sign up early, slots get filled quick.
