Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Union County is holding its second annual Foster the Dream 5K Run and 1m Walk on Saturday, May 14 at Oak Ridge Park in Clark.

Life in foster care--and the circumstances that put a youth there--is no walk in the park. But your walk or run in the park can make a difference!

CASA of Union County is a non-profit that trains community volunteers to ensure the needs of local foster youth are met and their best interests remain priority. There are 600 Union County youth in foster care and the organization serves 155.

Will you take steps with us May 14 to raise awareness of the need for volunteers as well as funds for recruitment and training? The commitment is under an hour but for a youth, the payoff is lifelong.

Create a team with family and friends! Registration is $25 for the run and $20 for the walk; $5 more after April 15. Tech racing shirts guaranteed to all paid participants before April 20.

High School track teams are also encouraged to participate.
