ROSELLE PARK, NJ - The Borough of Roselle Park along with Mayor Carl Hokanson and Council members will kick off the holiday season on Friday Dec. 2, with the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting.
This year’s event will host free holiday activities for all age groups in the heart of the town, at the Michael Mauri Gazebo Park on the corner of Chestnut St. and Grant Ave.
“It’s an old tradition that has been going on for years. It kicks off the holiday season here." said Mayor Carl Hokanson.
The event will begin with kids activities on Grant Ave. at 5 p.m. and continue with performances by Roselle Park school choirs and residents, followed by the Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
New attractions to the event this year is a pony ride, circus, face painting, pictures with Mickey, Minnie and Santa.
Roselle Park Local PBA 27 will have free gifts for children ages 5 to 10 years while supplies last.
Free pizza, hot chocolate, donuts and cookies will be served after the ceremony.
