ROSELLE, NJ - When properties in Roselle become overgrown with trash and weeds or become a safety issue, the Roselle Code Enforcement Division urges residents to notify them of the issue so they can inspect the properties to get the situation corrected. 

All notifications and/or complaints of vacant or abandoned properties can be directed to the Code Enforcement Division at (908) 634-4509 or (908) 259-3023.

Common complaints regarding these properties include:

  • Garbage / Debris / Trash / Junk / Dumping
  • High Grass / Overgrowth
  • Un-shoveled Snow and Ice
  • Unsecured Swimming Pools
  • Unsecured Doors / Windows
  • Abandoned Vehicles
  • Un-raked Leaves
  • Discarded Personal Items
  • Fences, Porches, Garages, Stairways/Steps in Disrepair
  • Illegal Dumping
  • Broken Glass / Windows
  • Loose or Falling Roof Shingles
  • Construction Materials
  • Possible Gas Leak
  • Broken Water Pipe creating Icy Conditions

Just because it is not on the list does not mean you can’t report it. If you see something that looks like it may be dangerous or might cause a hazardous situation to persons in the area, contact them.
