ROSELLE, NJ - “Calling all parents and residents: we want to meet you,” says the members of the Roselle Board of Education.
Roselle Public Schools Superintendent Dr. James Baker and the Board of Education are inviting all residents to “meet the board members” on Monday, September 23, at 7 p.m. at the Abraham Clark High School auditorium located at 122 East 6th Ave.
This special meet-and-greet will take place during the first portion of the regular Board of Education meeting and will provide parents and other members of the community the opportunity to learn more about their board members.
Attendees will also have the chance to share any concerns, discuss ideas for the school district and learn about some of the board’s initiatives this school year to improve learning.
“The board is eager to hear what parents have to say as we are all working together to provide a positive and enriching environment for our students,” said School Board President Delia Ware-Tibbs. “We, as board members, are here to support the district and your children so they can reach their fullest potential.”
Board members include President Ware-Tibbs, Vice President Frances Teabout, Renaee Smith, Angela Alvey-Wimbush, Jeffrey Bryan, Jonathan Davis, Rupert Pond, Jonathan Spearman and Richard Villeda.
The BOE members encourage the public, especially parents, to attend this important event.
“This is your opportunity to have a voice and ask questions about education in Roselle, as we work to prepare the children for bright futures,” said Dr. Baker. “We hope this is the beginning of more engagement between board members and the community they serve.”
