ROSELLE PARK, NJ - (Update) The Roselle Park community has rallied together to help a family who lost everything in the early morning fire on New Year's Day.
The Roselle Park Fire Department answered an alarm early New Year's morning at the home of the Mosquera family at 43 East Webster Ave. Flames could be seen coming from the roof and heavy smoke filled the area surrounding the residence. The fire appeared to be contained to the second level of the home but the family lost everything. According to police at the scene, no one was injured.
Residents quickly rallied and are asking for everyone to help the family.
The Church of Assumption at 113 Chiego Place (off Westfield Avenue) in Roselle Park will be set up as a drop-off location for donations. The Church side door will be open Monday to Friday next week (Jan. 5-9) from 9 a.m .to 3 p.m. for donation drop off.

Women's - shoes 8 1/2; coats small, medium, large
Men's - coats Large
Baby Girl - cloths 3-6 months (needs everything, diapers, baby wipes, soaps, etc.)
Boy - size 7-8 cloths; size 2 reg. shoes
The Knights of Columbus will begin planning a pasta dinner fundraiser to benefit the family to help them with immediate needs. TAPinto Roselle/Roselle Park will post those details when they become available.
