ROSELLE, NJ - Many came out for “Community Hours” on Wednesday afternoon at the Roselle Public Library where Librarian Jeanne Ryan welcomed town officials and Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. to give residents and students an opportunity to connect one on one and discuss any concerns they had with the Congressman.
“This is my opportunity to meet my constituents here in Roselle,” said Congressman Payne, Jr. “We want them to know that my office is available to the entire district.”
The Community Hours program with Congressman Payne, Jr. is designed to give the Congressman the opportunity to connect with his constituents in the 10th. Congressional District.
A member of the Congressman’s staff explained, we understand that not all constituents are able to schedule time to meet with the Congressman so he wants to be accessible to them by spending time in their town and hearing their concerns and comments. The Congressman is able to take the conversations he has with these constituents and factor them into his work representing the 10th. District when he is in Washington.
