EDISON, NJ – In a surprise visit to the Barclays FedEx Golf Tournament on Sunday, GOP presidential candidate front runner, Donald Trump stopped by the Plainfield Country Club.
Trump wearing his baseball cap, “Make America Great Again,” Trump made the rounds at the Plainfield County Club taking selfies with attendees and supporters.
Edison Police Officers escorted Trump as he walked the behind the ropes at the course. Part of his escort was Edison Democratic Chairman Keith Hahn, an Edison Police Officer.
“I'm a cop first, Democratic Chairman second and will always conduct myself with dignity and respect,” Hahn said. “Mr. Trump was gracious, respectful and more importantly appreciative of the impromptu security detail provided by the Edison Police. The Barclay's was a great event, Edison Police, Fire and EMS did a great job."
Donald Trump was welcomed by Edison Democratic Mayor Thomas Lankey at the Plainfield Country Club prior to walking the course.
"I would like to thank all the cops, fireman and EMS personnel that worked at the Barclay's this week. Everyone did a great job,” Hahn concluded.
