ROSELLE, NJ - There were many smiles on Saturday afternoon as students in Roselle had the opportunity to pick out the book bag of their choice at the Mayors 3rd annual "New Beginnings School Book Bag Drive”.

With the goal of 500 book bags to fill, Mayor Christine Dansereau and her many volunteers, and with the help of some very generous sponsors, were able to reach that goal and more. “We have come a long way from our first year when we made 300 bags,” said Dansereau. This year we were lucky enough to get enough donations for 700 bags!”

Parents were able to come to borough hall and with proof of residence, their children were given the opportunity to choose a back pack filled with supplies.

Prayers the Devil Answers by Sharyn McCrumb

Prayers the Devil Answers by Sharyn McCrumb (Altria, 2015)

Years later, after the tragedy, someone remembered the Dumb Supper and what had happened there. That was the cause of it, they said, because the ritual wasn't a game after all. It really was magic, but magic has rules, and she broke them. Even when they call it a 'senseless tragedy,' people always try to find a ...
