ROSELLE, NJ - An older fireplace was the cause of a fire that broke out at 301 Amsterdam Avenue on Sunday evening September 4, at approximately 5:20 pm in Roselle.
According to Roselle fire department, the floor under the fireplace started to burn filling the house with smoke. The fire was quickly extinguished. Officials also said there were no injuries.
Fire companies from Roselle Park and Garwood were requested for stand by at the Roselle station.
