SPRINGFIELD, NJ – In Monday’s seeding meeting for the Union County Tournament for girls volleyball, Roselle Catholic was seeded at No.10 and Roselle Park at No. 16.
The single elimination tournament begins October 18, with the quarterfinals on October 21, the semifinals on October 25, and the finals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 25, at Kean University.
Johnathan Dayton will play 18 seeded Hillside High School in the first round and the winner will face second seed Westfield High School in the quarterfinals.
First seed Union Catholic will play the winner of 16th seeded Roselle Park High School and 17th seeded Summit High School in the quarterfinals.
Third seed Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School will play the winner of the match between 14th seeded Benedictine Academy and 19th seeded Elizabeth High School.
Fourth seed Linden High School will play its quarterfinal match against the winner of 13th seeded Governor Livingston High School and 20th seeded Plainfield High School.
Fifth-seeded Cranford High School plays a first round match against 12th seeded Rahway High School. Sixth-seeded Oak Knoll faces 11th seeded Kent Place School in its first round match.
The remaining two first round matches are seventh seed Union High School against tenth seed Roselle Catholic High School and eighth seeded A.L. Johnson High School against ninth seed New Providence High School.
