ROSELLE, NJ - The Grace Wilday School will once again hold a “Bicycle Rodeo” for all students in the school district this Wednesday afternoon May 4 from 3 to 5 p.m. The event is free and will take place at the Grace Wilday Jr. High School located at 400 Brooklawn Avenue in Roselle.

The program, a partnership between the school, the Gateway Family YMCA and Meadowlink, will teach riders how to scan for traffic, maneuver through an obstacle course, recognize hazards and how to signal their intentions to drivers.

The rodeo will include stations for a bike check, helmet fittings and tire pressure. Riders are urged to be sure that their bike is in good working order and a properly fitting helmet. Free helmets will be provided, but are in a limited quantity as a courtesy of Meadowlink.

Permission slips are needed to participate in the ride. If you have not received one, you can contact the school directly. Parents are also responsible for transportation home after the event.
