Carl Hokanson, Roselle Park Council President, has been nominated as the Roselle Park Democratic Committee's candidate for Mayor.  Charlene Storey 2nd Ward Councilman, is the Democratic candidate for Councilwoman at Large, and Eugene Meola, former 1st Ward Councilman, is running to regain his former seat.

“I’m honored and pleased to do it. I’m going whole-hearted and my goal will be to put out the truth. As I will be retiring by this time next year, I will be a full-time mayor. Somebody who’s going to be out there to walk the businesses and take on the hard challenges. I have no hidden agenda," Hokanson said on accepting the nomination.

"I'm delighted to be part of such a strong team," said Storey. "We need honest and hard-working candidates who will put aside petty ambitions and internal party politics to concentrate on what's best for the borough."

Meola added, "Roselle Park deserves council members who will work hard for the boriough. We'll give 100 percent."
