ROSELLE PARK, NJ - The Park Theatre reopening in Roselle Park is no longer an option for two Roselle Park gentlemen. When Jared Pietz and Joe Shirley tried to take on the task, they had the best of intensions at heart for their community.
Efforts to raise the needed funds were not successful and the project has been scrapped for Roselle Park. As promised, the two gentlemen kept to their word and donated the money to the Roselle Park High School theatre program.
According to Pietz, “We kept our promise, that if we were unable to open the movie theater in Roselle Park that we would donate any money that we raised to the High School theater department and we did just that. We donated $777.00 on January 16, 2015. “
“We were unable to open the theater in Roselle Park said Pietz, but we are working on another location and we have been welcomed with open arms.”
