ROSELLE/ROSELLE PARK, NJ - Governor Christie declared NJ to be in a State of Emergency this evening in a press conference. Blizzard conditions are predicted for the area late Friday evening into Saturday and lasting through Sunday with accumulations of 12 to 18 inches expected.  

“Myself and our Borough Administrator will be overseeing the storm and will have all equipment out on the roads,” said Roselle Mayor Christine Dansereau. We have the shelter set up at the Schaffer Center for the drivers and we will be on top of this storm for as long as needed.”  

Roselle Park Police Chief Paul Morrison sent out a message through UC First Alert asking resident to, “Please park all vehicles off streets, if at all possible, during snow storm so emergency vehicles & plows have access to your area. If you have a fire hydrant by your house please shovel away the snow so fire department will have quick access to it in the event of a fire.” 

Municipal parking lots are open for free parking during storm and 8 hrs after storm.
