ROSELLE, NJ - Roselle firemen took the win extinguishing the hopes for the Roselle police in the annual “Turkey Bowl” football game fundraiser on Sunday morning by a score of 43 - 22.

Recreation Director Donald Shaw gave the audio play by play for the event, while the Roselle Rams Football team and Cheerleaders, Abraham Clark H.S. Band and Jr. R.O.T.C. and residents cheered on the two teams. 

There was a lot of fun spirited smack talking going on, but when it got down to playing the game, it was the firemen who scored first, and by half-time, Roselle fire continued their lead by a score of 19 - 6.

The second half the police started firing back and scored several touchdowns, but that didn’t stop the firemen as they turned up the heat, and by the end of the game, the firemen knocked down the hopes of the police to take the win with a final score of 43 - 22.

 

This was the 3rd year the Roselle PBA and the FMBA have got to gather to raise money for their Thanksgiving Food and Christmas Toy Drives.

Dog Found in Roselle Still Being Held at Newark Shelter

ROSELLE, NJ - A dog that was found on Jan. 9 is still being held at the Newark Animal Shelter because no owner has claimed him.
