ROSELLE/ROSELLE PARK, NJ - The powerful winds that swept through the area Saturday night and most of Sunday left some residents waking up to trees down and in some neighborhoods a loss of power.
In Roselle there was very little damage, according to Mayor Dansereau with the exception of a traffic light at the intersection of Chestnut and 3rd. Ave. near Roselle Savings Bank.
Roselle Park had more damage with trees falling around the area including Larch Ave, Westfield Ave. and a few other streets. A stop sign was also blown over at one intersection in town.
According to Mayor Hokanson, the biggest reported issue was the tree that fell in the Amsterdam Ave. area that took down power lines and a transformer and left Residents without power.
