ROSELLE, NJ - Good food, fun and fellowship was on the menu at the “Roselle Family Fun Day” on Saturday afternoon at the Harrison School Playground. Open to churches, community organizations and officials, residents were able come together and get information in a fun picnic style atmosphere with games, giveaways and music.

The event was hosted by the Abounding Women Community Outreach organization.  “We wanted to create an environment for community members to get to know one another,” said Denise Wilkerson, CEO and Founder of the organization. “People who feel connected to their community are more committed to the success of the community.”

The organization thanked the local heroes of the town by inviting all on duty officers to come and get food. They also took lunch to on duty firefighters at the firehouse. “It was Abounding Women’s way of saying thank you to all of our heroes,” said Jenette Wiggins, the financial officer of Abounding Women. “We would like to thank the Roselle Family Success Center for providing a wealth of resource information for community members and the Roselle Active Seniors for all of their help.”
