ROSELLE, NJ - Roselle held its first in what will become a series of “Youth Day” events on Saturday October 24. Workshops were provided to give information to students on many topics given by different organizations in the community. 

“Legal or Not - The Effects of Drugs on the Human Body” presented by Prevention Links and “The Impact of attire, attitude, and friends” was presented by Officer Delmonte Pryor, President of the Roselle PBA, along with other speakers and topics. 

“This is a great opportunity for our youth to gain guidance and insight towards becoming upstanding citizens and future leaders of our community,” said Roselle Mayor Christine Dansereau.

A “Pop up urban apparel store” was also available were youth were given vouchers to shop for free.

Support for the event came from Assemblyman Jamel Holley, The Borough of Roselle, Boxwood Learning Center, Concrete Rose Project, The City of Elizabeth (Health & Human Services), The Gateway YMCA (Elizabeth Branch & Shaping Elizabeth), New Destiny CDC, Prevention Links, and the Roselle Family Success Center.
