Roselle Code Enforcement Office Asks Community to Help Keep Roselle Beautiful


ROSELLE, NJ - The Roselle Division of Code Enforcement is asking the community to help keep the Borough of Roselle a safe and healthy community where all those who live, work or visit can experience a sense of pride and well-being. 

“Everyone’s help is needed,” said Robert Lawson, Roselle’s Code Enforcement Manager. “We need to work together to help keep our community clean and a place that we can all be proud to call home.”

We are urging residents to help make efforts to improve their property by handling exterior and interior maintenance, such as, garbage and debris, vegetative overgrowth, abandoned or inoperable vehicles, parking vehicles on unimproved surfaces, car parts, or other visual and hazardous nuisances on commercial, business, and residential property, said Lawson.

Code Enforcement officers reminds everyone of the change in the recycling schedule.

The recycling changes for 2016 are as follows: 

*Note Chestnut Street is the dividing line. 

East side of Roselle - Garbage days are Monday and Thursday  

West side of Roselle - Garbage days are Tuesday and Friday 

Bulk Trash - 1st. Wednesday of of the month -ONLY- (East Side)

Bulk Trash - 3rd. Wednesday of of the month -ONLY- (Westt Side)



Bottles and cans only will be picked up as usual by wards:

5th ward - Monday

4th ward - Tuesday

3rd ward - Wednesday

2nd ward - Thursday

1st ward - Friday

Recycling of cardboard, newspaper, magazines, books etc., will be picked up throughout the town on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.

Female Boxer Dog Found in the Chandler Ave. Area of Roselle

ROSELLE, NJ - A female boxer was found on East 7th Ave. near Chandler Ave. and given to police on Feb. 16. The dog was later transported to the Newark Humane Society, where it will be on hold for the owner to claim her.

Officials from the Humane Society say that the dog is of senior age and very sweet. If the owner does not claim her, she will be available for adoption on Feb.
