ROSELLE, NJ - Roselle Fireman James P. Ortuso retired on Friday, June 2, after 39 years of service to the Roselle community,

Ortuso has lived his entire life in Roselle, and has served with the Roselle Fire Dept. at first as a volunteer for 14 years, and then 25 years as a career firefighter.  

“Jimmy has always been a dedicated public servant and very committed to the town of Roselle,” said Fire Chief Paul Mucha. “He has been a tremendous asset to the department and he will be missed. We all wish him all the best in his retirement.”

“I was born in Roselle and I have lived here all of my life,” said Ortuso. “ I started out as a volunteer for 14 years, then professional for the last 25 years. I love what I do, and it’s been a real pleasure serving the residents of Roselle,”
