ROSELLE, NJ - Veterans were honored, and two police officers were promoted at the November council meeting this past Wednesday evening in Roselle. 

Mayor Christine Dansereau and Council Members held a special ceremony in honor of Veterans Day at the beginning of the meeting. The Abraham Clark H.S. Jr. R.O.T.C Color Guard presented the colors while resident Keyanna Jones-Lovett sang America the Beautiful.

Following the ceremony, Dansereau administered the oath to two Roselle police officers promoting them to a high rank. Officer Lori Soares was promoted to the position of Lieutenant and Officer Craig Howlett was promoted to Sergeant. Police Chief Gerard Orlando, presented the officers with their badges and spoke briefly.
