Roselle Mayor Asks for Help with Family Who Lost Everything Due to Fire


ROSELLE, NJ - Mayor Christine Dansereau has reached out to the community asking for help for the Green family in Roselle who lost everything to a fire in their apartment this past Monday morning. 

As reported on TAPinto, the fire broke out in the early morning on Monday at a house located at 906 Chandler Avenue. Details of that fire can read by clicking here

While the American Red Cross has put the family up in a hotel temporarily, the family is still searching for another place to live as well as donations. Boxwood Development Services has set up a drop off for donations at their facility located at 115 W. Second Ave. Roselle, N.J. 07203 They can be contacted at 908 241-6862 or

Times for drop off include, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 10:30am - 5:30pm, Thursday 10:30am - 7:00pm and Sunday 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

“Losing your home to a fire is devastating and can happen to anyone of us at any given time,” said Mayor Dansereau. “I’m hoping that we can find the family a place to live as quick as possible since they only have temporary shelter. We are doing as much as we can, and every little bit helps.”
