ROSELLE PARK, NJ - The Borough of Roselle Park will be hosting their 13th Annual Independence Day Celebration this Saturday, June 30, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Officials are boasting their showcase to be the best fireworks program in Union County, and expect to attract thousands to Roselle Park High School’s Herm Shaw Field located at 214 West Colfax Avenue, in Roselle Park.
“This years fireworks are going to be the best ever,” said Rupen Shah, Director of the Casino Community Center. “We are having a flag raising ceremony, and it has a personal touch to it. It’s going to be extra special. You do not want to miss it!”
The celebration will feature fun for the whole family, including food vendors, kid activities, arts and crafts, movie characters, a live concert by the band Face 2 Face, followed by the fireworks show at dusk.
The gates will open at 5 p.m. and festivities begin at 6 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and an appetite. There will be food vendors on West Colfax Avenue, including funnel cakes, BBQ, Italian ice, ice cream, pizza, popcorn, hot dogs and more.
