ROSELLE PARK, NJ - Roselle Park Democratic candidate James McCrady will not be in the race for Councilman-at-Large for the upcoming November election.
A letter by Joanne Rajoppi from the Union County Clerks Office to Democratic Party Chairman Jerry Green, was obtained through an OPRA request, confirming that McCrady has declined his nomination for public office that he received in the June primary election.
The Democratic committee will now have until 4 p.m. on September 14, to submit a new candidate to appear on the ballot.
A email request for comment from the Roselle Park Democratic Chairman had not been received at the time of this story posting. We will update the story if/when they respond.
McCrady would have been running against the Republican candidate for Council-at-Large, a former Mayor of Roselle Park, Joseph DeIorio.
