ROSELLE PARK, NJ — Roselle Park celebrated Independence Day today with the first ever patriotic parade around town.
The Police Department and American Legion Post 60 drove in the parade and the Fire Department brought out 5 trucks. Borough Council members and their families were also invited to join in the festivities while Roselle Park residents watched from the sidewalks and their front lawns.
After it became clear that the traditional Roselle Park celebration with fireworks could no longer be an option due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Casano Community Center along with the borough government planned and organized this parade.
After the parade ended, the Jersey Jeep Flow caravan began at 6 p.m. The caravan drove down every street in Roselle Park blasting the “Star Spangled Banner” and other patriotic music.
