ROSELLE PARK, NJ - In celebration of Pride Month, Roselle Park held a Flag Raising Ceremony on Friday morning at the Veterans Memorial Library. 

Roselle Park resident Michael Peterson Spoke to the group and raised the traditional rainbow-colored flag in celebration of  LGBTQ Pride Month.

Union County Freeholder Vice Chairwoman Bette Jane Kowalski, Danni Newbury Union County’s Coordinator of LGBTQ Services, Councilman-at-Large Joseph DeIorio, Rupen Shah director of the towns Casano Community Center and Library Officials were all hand to show support.

After raising the flag the group walked to the Casano Community Center and placed a second flag on the building. 

This ceremony will now be an annual event moving forward,” said Shah. “We will also be holding the 1st. Annual Celebration of Colors event on August 18. We are very excited and hope that everyone comes out for that event.”
